It took some digging (and writing this song specifically) but I found the power inside me to charge myself back up again. 😌🔋 And even on the good days, this song lifts me even higher and makes me feel untouchable.

Hey… is this thing on? 🫥 I usually keep things upbeat here, but I gotta be honest… I'm getting pretty tired of social media.

Since I started posting more about my music, less than 1% of my network see’s my posts. Coincidence? 🤔 Don’t think so. Even my husband and mom don’t see them most of the time. 😂

It’s frustrating – and pretty soul crushing – when you spend months of your time working on something only for it to fall on deaf ears because you’re at the mercy of a multi-billion dollar company trying to squeeze a few ad dollars out of you.

You’d think these platforms would reward early adopters (day one user here 🙋‍♂️) but instead they are forcing us into a corner where we feel invisible and become desperate enough to spend money to be seen.

What started as a fun place to share snapshots of our lives has basically become an ad network.

And guess what? I finally caved and tried running ads last week. After spending $200 I barely reached the number of people I used to reach organically. Instagram’s advice? Spend more money. 🤦‍♂️ It's basically a slot machine. 🎰

I don’t make money from my music. I’m just trying to satisfy the creative spirit inside of me and put something that brings me joy out into the world. Especially when the world seems rather grim.

I wasn’t going to share this because it feels very “woe is me,” and that’s not who I am, but I decided to say something because I’ve talked to plenty of other creatives who are in the same boat.

If you have friends who are artists or small business owners – or anyone who appears to be “selling” something on here – 9 times out of 10 they struggle to be seen. 🫥 So try and support them where you can.

And FYI, support doesn’t mean spending money. A nice comment or sharing their work with your network goes a long way. And if you do have the means to make a purchase, trust me, they’ll appreciate it a lot more than Taylor Swift does.

I’ve never been one to give up, so I’ll carry on. At least until this album is out. Stay tuned for the next track in 3 weeks. 🔌⚡️
